Terms of Use

1. Early testing

EdJoy is currently in early testing. Features may change, access may be limited, and some parts of the product may be experimental.

EdJoy is offered for early testing in higher education, business, professional, and adult learning settings, and in K-12 13+ educator-led pilots through school authorization and student privacy review.

2. Educator-led access

EdJoy is educator-led during early testing. Learners access EdJoy through invitations to Learning Spaces created by educators, trainers, learning leaders, or approved EdJoy learning leads.

Learners may not create Learning Spaces unless specifically authorized.

3. K-12 and minors

K-12 students and minors may use EdJoy only through an approved educator-, school-, parent-, guardian-, or institution-authorized process, as applicable.

Students under 13 are not part of EdJoy’s standard early testing program and require a separate approved process.

4. Accounts

Users are responsible for providing accurate information, protecting credentials, and using EdJoy lawfully and appropriately.

5. Educator and trainer responsibility

Educators, trainers, and learning leaders are responsible for the courses, materials, objectives, standards, instructions, and learning goals they provide.

EdJoy may help organize learning materials, generate questions and explanations, provide motivating feedback, support visible progress, and create learning activities, but educators remain responsible for educational judgment, classroom use, training use, and compliance with applicable policies.

6. Business and professional learning responsibility

For business, professional, workplace, or adult learning, the organization, educator, trainer, or learning leader is responsible for ensuring that submitted materials and learner participation comply with applicable internal policies, confidentiality obligations, employment rules, and privacy requirements.

7. Learner use

Learners must use EdJoy honestly and appropriately. EdJoy is intended to support learning, not to help users misrepresent their work, avoid required learning, violate academic-integrity rules, or submit AI-assisted work in violation of educator or institutional policies.

8. AI-assisted educational support

EdJoy uses AI to generate or support questions, explanations, feedback, practice activities, reflections, visible progress information, and other learning interactions.

AI-generated content may be imperfect, incomplete, or inappropriate for a particular context. EdJoy does not replace educator judgment.

9. User content and educator materials

Users may submit course materials, learning objectives, messages, responses, feedback, and other content to EdJoy. Users retain ownership of content they submit, subject to the rights granted to EdJoy to operate and improve the service.

10. No unauthorized sensitive data

Users must not submit student rosters, grades, education records, health information, children’s personal information, confidential employer data, or sensitive learner data unless EdJoy has approved the pilot setup and applicable data terms are in place.

11. License to operate EdJoy

Users grant EdJoy a limited license to host, process, display, reproduce, modify, and use submitted content as needed to provide, secure, maintain, support, and improve EdJoy.

For school or institutional student data, EdJoy will use such data only as permitted by applicable law and applicable agreements.

12. Feedback

If users provide suggestions, comments, or feedback about EdJoy, EdJoy may use that feedback to improve the product unless restricted by a separate agreement or applicable law.

13. Acceptable use

Users may not use EdJoy to violate law or institutional rules; harass, threaten, or harm others; submit content they do not have rights to use; upload malicious code; disrupt or misuse the service; bypass security or access controls; cheat, impersonate, or misrepresent learning; submit unauthorized student or sensitive data; or use EdJoy for targeted advertising, profiling, or commercial exploitation of student data.

14. No guaranteed outcomes

EdJoy does not guarantee specific grades, learning outcomes, engagement levels, mastery, academic performance, or business-training results.

15. Beta disclaimers

EdJoy is provided during early testing on an “as is” and “as available” basis. EdJoy does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that all AI-generated outputs will be accurate or appropriate.

16. Suspension and termination

EdJoy may suspend or terminate access if a user violates these Terms, creates risk, misuses the product, or if testing access ends.

17. Changes to Terms

EdJoy may update these Terms. If changes are material, EdJoy will provide notice through the website, product, email, or another appropriate method.
